Major George T. Grantham

Retired Major George T. Grantham was a wonderful husband and father who left behind his wife of 34 years, Catherine, his son John Charles, and daughters Susan, Christina, Robyn and Jana. He believed strongly that God and family were the only real gifts we have on this earth. He spent a lifetime passionately studying scripture and has written a book defining his faith.
He loved to draw, and was an avid musician who played the piano, wind instruments, harmonica, and the crystal glasses. More often than not, he would be found sitting in his favorite chair whittling and most days during the summer he could be seen pushing his reel mower through the yard. Some of his proudest accomplishments included a masters degree in Environmental Science, renovating the old Evangelical Church to become his home, and helping in the restoration of the Baudette Depot.
His example of kindness, soft spoken reason and generosity of spirit touched everyone. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community. We love you so much Pawpaw.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Baudette, MN on April 28, 2017 at 11:00.
Thank you to the VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge and all the Baudette friends who reached out during the last few months. We love you and you made a difference.
