Rose Marie Wojchowski passed away Monday, November 24, 2013 in Roseau, MN at the age 97.
Rose was born August 27, 1916 at the home place to James and Anna (Ratkovec) Svoboda Sr.
She was united in marriage to Walter Wojchowski, November 6, 1941. They farmed, raised dairy cattle, turkeys, and grains. She always had a big vegetable garden, and was a very good cook. Rose made many dozen kolaches. Christmas was a special time with dumplings, sauerkraut and duck. She enjoyed embroidering and was a very avid reader.
She is survived by her four children, Gene (Twyla) Wojchowski of Greenbush, MN, Ken (Jean) Wojciehowski of Badger, MN, Karen (Bryce) Minske of Roseau, MN, Marianne (Loren) Ballard of Roseau, MN; sister, Ann Randall of Deer River, MN; sister-in-law, Fern Svoboda of Badger; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her parents, two sisters, and a brother.
A Family Service for Rose Wojchowski of Roseau was held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Helgeson Funeral Home in Roseau, Minn. at 10:30 a.m. Interment was held at Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Greenbush, MN.
