Bids open May 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Sealed bids for the City of East Grand Forks,
Minnesota, will be received by Craig Mattson, City Administrator at the City Hall in the
City of East Grand Forks, Minnesota until 10:00 a.m. May 9, 2006 at which time and
place they will be opened and read aloud. The bids will then be tabulated and considered
at the next regular City Council meeting, May 16, 2006.
The Information for Bids, Form of Contract, Form of Bid, Plans, Specifications, and
Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond and other Contract Documents may
be examined at the following:

Copies may be obtained from the Office of Floan-Sanders, Inc., Consulting
Engineers, located at 1600 Central Ave. N.E., East Grand Forks, MN upon payment of
$60.00 for each set. This payment is non-refundable.
The work to be done on this project "2006 Assessment Job No. 1 - Utilities and Street
Construction", shall consist of the following estimated major items.
3251 LF - 8" PVC Sanitary Sewer, 380 LF - 12" PVC Watermain, 2789 LF - 8" PVC
Watermain, 14 EA - 8" Gate Valves, 4 EA - Hydrants, 305 LF - 12" RCP Storm Sewer,
1055 LF - 15" RCP Storm, 334 LF - 18" RCP Storm Sewer, 682 LF - 21" RCP Storm
Sewer, 264 LF - 36" Storm Sewer, 190 LF - Sanitary Manholes, 77 LF - Storm Manhole,
16 EA - Catch Basins, 2467 CY - Common Excavation, 3892 CY - Aggregate Base, 5754
LF - Concrete Curb & Gutter, and other miscellaneous items.
The work on this project is required to be started within 10 days after the Notice to
Proceed is given to the Contractor and such work is required to be completed by
September 15, 2006. The bids will be awarded based upon the lowest bid.
The project is to be paid for in cash. No bid will be considered unless sealed, filed
with the Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, bid bond or
cashier's check, payable to the City Administrator in the sum of at least ten (10) percent
of the amount of the bid, such deposit or check or amount of Bidder's Bond to be forfeit-
ed to the municipality in the event that the successful bidder shall fail to enter into a con-
tract awarded to him in accordance with the terms of his bid. Bids shall be marked as to
indicate: Name of Bidder: "Bid on 2006 Assessment Job No. 1 - Utilities and Street
Construction" to be opened May 9, 2006, at 10:00 a.m.
The City of East Grand Forks reserves the right to hold all bids for a period of 60 days
after the date fixed for the opening thereof and to reject any bid, or bids, or all bids and
to waive any irregularities. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actu-
al date of the opening thereof.
