NDSCS awards academic scholarships to area students
The North Dakota State College of Science has awarded academic scholarships to 131 students from four states.The scholarships recognize and reward students for academic achievement and test scores and participation in extracurricular and volunteer activities. The scholarships — awarded for either $1,000 or $500 — are applicable during the 2008-2009 academic year.
Scholarship recipients include: Kacie Reardon, $1,000 and Alex Swingen, $500, both of East Grand Forks.
NDSCS is a two-year, comprehensive, residential college in Wahpeton. The State College of Science offers degrees, certificates and diplomas in over 80 academic options in traditional career and technical studies and in the liberal arts. Approximately 98 percent of graduates from its technical programs find jobs in their chosen fields.
