Marjorie Jacobson
Marjorie E. Jacobson, 87, formerly of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston, MN.Marjorie E. Axelson was born on August 10, 1921 in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Andrew and Ellen (Haahr) Axelson. Marjorie grew up and attended school in Grand Forks, ND. On July 30, 1944 she was united in marriage to Herman Jacobson in Grand Forks, ND. They made their home in East Grand Forks, MN where she did childcare and also worked at Valley Memorial Homes Almonte of Grand Forks, ND. Marjorie enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In Marjorie’s last years of her life she lived at the Villa St. Vincent Nursing Home in Crookston, MN where she had many special friends.
Surviving Marjorie are her daughters: Barbara (Allan) Moe of East Grand Forks, MN and Vicki (Frank) Robertson of Grand Forks, ND; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren and sister Lois Cornell of Augusta, MT.
Preceding Marjorie in death are her parents and brothers Roger and Ron Axelson.
Memorial Service: 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2008 in Stennes Funeral Home of East Grand Forks.
