Bev Barrett
Bev Barrett, 75, of East Grand Forks, died Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.Bev Barrett was born March 16, 1933 in McArthur, ND the daughter of John and Agnes (Bartlette) Moulds. She grew up and attended rural school in the Neche and Pembina, ND area.
She was united in marriage to Bob Barrett on January 24, 1950 in East Grand Forks. They lived most of their lives in the East Grand Forks area.
She worked for Old Dutch and farmed with her husband in East Grand Forks. She also worked at Prairie Public in Grand Forks and operated Big Bob’s Buffalo Stand for the Heritage Foundation for many years.
Bev had many hobbies that included music, baking, canning and working in her flower and vegetable garden. Bev cherished the time that she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to celebrate her life and to hold her in their hearts are her children Kathy (Martin) Mills of East Grand Forks, Robert (Lori) Barrett of Fisher, MN, Kristy (Kirk) Driscoll of East Grand Forks, Karen (Gary) Tveten of Brighton, CO, Kari Jo (Sean) Metzger of Fisher, MN, Michelle (Darrin) Berg of Fisher, MN and Kevin (Shelly) Barrett of Grand Forks, ND; 16 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and one brother, Melvin (Barb) Moulds of Fisher, MN.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bob on July 26, 1997, her parents, brother Bob, and sister Shirley.
Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, East Grand Forks.
Visitation: 5 -7 p.m., with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Stennes Funeral Home, East Grand Forks, and one hour before services at the church.
Burial: Nisbet Cemetery, Rural East Grand Forks.
