Chamber announces Festival of Lights Holiday Celebration

The Baudette-Lake of the Woods Chamber of Commerce announces the beginning of the annual Festival of Lights Holiday Celebration.
During this celebration there will be many shopping promotions from Chamber merchants, over $1000 in Chamber Bucks given away, free movies, an Open House and a day to meet Santa. So, mark your calendars and enjoy the shopping, food, and services available right here in Baudette.
Over $1000 in Chamber Bucks will be given away in December, so be sure to get out and shop the participating merchants. Beginning November 27th, each merchant participating in the Chamber give-away promotion will provide you with an entry slip just for stopping in the store; PLUS for every $10 spent, you will receive an additional entry slip. These slips will be collected each week and Chamber Bucks recipients will be announced at noon Friday. These Friday drawings, starting December 1st, will award three individuals $50 in Chamber Bucks and one lucky individual will receive $100 Chamber Bucks each week. The final give-away drawing on December 22nd will award $50 Chamber Bucks to three individuals, $100 to one individual, and $250 Chamber Bucks to one individual. Watch this newspaper and Cable Channel 3 for a list of weekly winners.
Free movies will be shown every Saturday in December through Christmas at 2:00 pm at the Grand Theater in Baudette. The movies scheduled to show are: December 2nd: Nanny McPhee; December 9th: How to Eat Fried Worms; December 16: Curious George; and December 23rd: Polar Express. Mark your calendars now -Chamber of Commerce Open House will take place on Thursday, December 14th and Santa will be in town on Saturday, December 16th.
