Lovonna Cole

Lovonna Cole, 63, of Warroad died Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. She was 63 years old.
Funeral services were held March 29, 2007, at 2 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad. Visitation, with a 7 p.m. devotional service, was held from 5-8 p.m. March 28, 2007, at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Warroad, and one hour prior to services at the church on March 29.
Lovonna Cecille, the daughter of Lorraine (McCusker) and Einar Lindgren, was born August 19, 1943, in Warroad, Minnesota. She attended school in Salol through the fifth grade and then finished her schooling in Warroad.
On November 27, 1960, Lovonna was united in marriage to Mark Cole at the Norland Lutheran Church in Salol. They lived in International Falls where Mark worked for M & O Paper Mill. They then moved to Montana for nine years and ranched before returning to Warroad in 1969 where they still reside. Lovonna worked at home while the children were home and then started working at Marvin Windows and Doors in 1983. She continued to work there for the next 24 years, until the time of her death.
Lovonna enjoyed flower gardening very much. She liked cooking, baking, vacationing, especially to Las Vegas where she loved gambling. She rode four-wheeler, camped, rode horse frequently, and was a very good oil paint artist. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spending time with them.
Survivors include her husband, Mark; children: Suzette Otto of Roseau, Jim (Annie) Cole of Big Lake, Sandra (Ted) Nichols of Warroad, Matt (Heidi) Cole of Warroad, Lorrie (Jeff) Lesch of Mound City, South Dakota, and Kelly (Sarah) Cole of Warroad; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Loretta (Byron) Milender of Savage, Montana, and Janet (Rod) Battles of Roosevelt; and, two brothers: Terrold Lindgren and Gary Lindgren, both of Apache Junction, Arizona. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Lovonna was preceded in death by her parents.
