LaVerne loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She had many hobbies including making all of her greeting cards, over 100 for the Christmas season. Another hobby was ceramics. She had a ceramic shop at the campground and she taught a ceramic class there. She enjoyed quilting with the women at Wabanica Lutheran Church. LaVerne had a green thumb for flowers and she loved to plant them and care for them each year for everyone to enjoy at the campground. She considered the people at the campground as part of her extended family. Each spring will be a reminder of new life with the flowers growing that LaVerne has planted.
