Jacob Gingerich
Jacob B. Gingerich, 88, of Graceton, Minnesota, died May 13, 2007, at Goshen, Indiana, at the home of his daughter, Sharon, after a brief illness.Funeral services were held from the Maple City Chapel at Goshen, Indiana, with Pastor Gary Miller officiating. Burial is at Gracelawn Cemetery, Middlebury, Indiana.
Jacob B. Gingerich was born February 6, 1919 at Loogootee, Indiana. On December 19, 1943, Jacob was united in marriage to Amelia Yoder of Mylo, North Dakota. Jake and Amelia moved to the Graceton area in the 1950s. Jake spent most of his life clearing and farming the land he loved.
Survivors include his wife, Amelia, and seven of their eight children: Elizabeth Jones of Bristol, Indiana, Pauline Liechty of Lillian, Alabama, Delores Kauffmann of Pensacola, Florida, Sharon Classen of Goshen, Indiana, Jake Jr., of Durange, Colorado, Bill of Belfontaine, Ohio, and Debbie Wolfe of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, one daughter, Marjean Yutzy, preceded Jake in death.
