The event will actually kick off at Moose Park at 9 o’clock on Friday night with a dance. DJ music will be provided by Backdraft until 1 a.m.
Saturday’s events begin early with a 5K Fun Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m. The run will begin and end on the street near the Tri-County School football field. Sue Dufault of the Karlstad City Office told the North Star News that she had received 36 entries at press time. The first 40 entries will receive a free T-shirt. Registration is free and water will be distributed at the turn-around point. Contact the Karlstad City Office at 436-2178 for registration.
