Scandia wins chili contest
The taste buds have now cooled and the beans have settled in, and Moose Fest officials have put another Moose Fest Chili Cookoff under their collective belt.A total of 196 votes were cast by the brave tasters in the event with the Scandia Cafe of Karlstad coming in as the number one chili of the day with 37 votes. The Cwikla/Hagelund moose burger concoction came in second with 26 votes, and Loni Kujawa’s chili ranked third with 25.
There were a total of ten entries in all with at least that many recipes represented. The first place winner received a new crock pot.
