Warren Robb

Warren Robb passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and eight days.
Warren A. Robb was born September 19, 1921 in Clark, SD to Frank and Elsie (Walhowe) Robb. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and attended school in SD until the age of 13 when he moved with his family to Wampon, Manitoba. He lived in Wampon and attended school for five years before moving to Ross, near Roseau. Warren entered the Army in September of 1942 and served in WWII. He was discharged from the Army in 1945 and moved back to the Ross community where he worked for a number of farmers in the area. He also worked part-time for a number of area farmers in North Dakota. He was united in marriage on November 3, 1957 in Ross to Palma Nesteby and the two made their home and farmed in the Greenbush area for 40+ years. Palma passed away in July of 2005 and Warren continued to make his home on their farm until moving to the Badger Creek Apartments in Badger in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with his many friends.
Warren is survived by two brothers: Donald Robb of Grand Forks, ND and Harold Robb of International Falls, MN; one sister: Beth Weaver of Roseau; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers: Everett, Vernon, Raymond, and Richard Robb; one sister: Leta Marquette.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 30, at Collins Funeral Chapel in Greenbush with Pastor Bryce Fellbaum officiating. Linda Sovde was the organist, accompanying Shelly Aubrey singing, “Amazing Grace” and “Shall We Gather By the River”. Warren’s casket bearers were Ricky, Randy, Scott, Larry, Ronnie, Gregg, Gary, and Eric Robb and Bruce Weleski. All of Warren’s many friends were honorary casket bearers. Military honors were accorded by the Greenbush American Legion Post. #88. Visitation was held two hours prior to services on Saturday. Interment was held at Badger City Cemetery in Badger, following services.
Collins Funeral Home of Greenbush was in charge of arrangements.
