Freeze’s Nelson medalist at Girls meet
Ashlee Nelson led the pack at the High School golf meet held at the Karlstad Golf Club on Tuesday, April 22.Ashlee, who plays for the Northern Freeze Team, shot an 18-hole total of 90 besting her nearest competitor by 13 strokes.
Second place went to Adell Murphy of Roseau with 103, and third place was taken by Allison Waage of BGMR who scored 105.
Ashlee and Kim Nyflot were the only two golfers from the Freeze’s Girls Team competing. Ashlee shot a 44 and a 46 on the nine-hole course and Kim shot rounds of 63 and 68.
In the team results the Roseau girls turned in a team score of 438 to take top honors. BGMR had a 445, Warroad scored 461 and KCC Girls had 485.
