GMR High School student receives Edna Smith Community of Learners Scholarship from UND
Danica Dvergsten of Greenbush, MN, received the Edna Smith Community of Learners Scholarship from the University of North Dakota for the 2008-2009 academic year. Dvergsten, daughter of Kurt and Karen Dvergsten, graduated from Greenbush-Middle River High School and plans to attend UND in the fall.
The Edna Smith Scholarship is awarded to a student chosen for high academic performance. Smith was a 1920 UND graduate, active in student government and Greek social councils.
The Community of Learners Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have shown exemplary achievement in both high school GPA and in test scores. This scholarship program is intended to honor and reward students who contribute to enhancing UND s vibrant and connected learners.
