BGMR 14U Gator Girls Softball Team places 2nd at State
The 14U BGMR Gator girls softball team placed 2nd out of 23 teams @ the ASA/USA Softball Class D Junior Olympic State Championship August 2nd & 3rd @ Becker MN.
The girls played against Hutchinson 1 winning 14-3, St. Cloud Tech High School winning 6-1, Becker winning 6-3, Windom winning 10-1. They then played Glenco-Silver Lake twice losing to them the 1st game in extra innings 9-8. The next time they played them they won 7-6 putting the Gators into the championship game. There they went against a team from Fergus Falls that was undefeated. They ended up losing 6-4. Ending the 14U season with 2nd place medals and a plaque.
Congratulations to both Badger -Greenbush - Middle River and Fergus Falls for representing Region 8 with excellent playing and sportsmanship.
