Milford Lange

Funeral Services for Milford Lange of Badger were held on Saturday, June 7th at the Badger Creek Lutheran Church in Badger.
Milford Julius Lange was born near Newell, SD on May 16, 1914 to Mae (Chapin) and Julius Lange. In September of 1914 their family moved by wagon and horses to Hanley Falls, MN in yellow Medicine County. This is where Milford was raised.
Milford met Olga (Skeim) nine miles south of Badger at the Charles Carpenter farm. They were united in marriage on October 11, 1936 and had six children.
Milford worked on the Carpenter farm for two years and later hauled cattle to St. Paul.
Milford and Olga moved to Badger where he worked for the Dividend Oil Company until June of 1937 when he began working at the George Row Lumber Co. in Badger. On November 1, 1943 they moved to a farm one mile east of Roseau and began farming, and later moved 4 1/2 miles west of Badger to farm.
Milford enjoyed woodworking, crafts, fishing, and quilting. He also loved to watch his children and grandchildren in sports when they were young.
Milford passed away on June 4, 2008 at LifeCare Greenbush Manor in Greenbush. He was 94 years old.
He is survived by his children: Donald (Elaine) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Marlene (Floyd) Olson of Roosevelt, Dwight (Carolyn) of Badger, Keith (Eileen) of Fergus Falls, MN and Suzanne (Marlin) Elton of Roseau; siblings: Ruth Geisler and Dorothy Peterson of Pine City, MN, Vernon (Kay) of Tacoma, WA, Harlan Lange of WA, sister-in-law Tillie Gregerson of Greenbush, nineteen grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Olga; son Walter; sisters Margaret and Eva; brothers Virgil and Delbert; and an infant granddaughter Jennifer Elton.
