Adrian B. Dolney  was born on March 8, 1922, the son of the late
Albert and Stella (Pelowski) Dolney in Polonia Township, Roseau
County, near Greenbush.  He was baptized and confirmed in the
Catholic faith at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at Leo.  He attended
Country School District 31 in Polonia Township and graduated from
Greenbush High School.  Following school Adrian became a lifelong
farmer in the Greenbush community.  Adrian was united in marriage to
Emily Gryskiewicz on August 26, 1961 at Assumption Catholic Church in
Florian, MN and together they made their home on his family’s home
farm northwest of Greenbush.  After retiring Adrian spent time wood
working and helping with farm work.  Emily passed away unexpectedly
on January 11, 2010 and Adrian continued to make his home on the farm
until entering LifeCare Greenbush Manor Assisted Living in September
of 2010 where he passed away on Thursday morning, September 13, 2012
at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 5 days.  
Adrian was a lifelong member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leo,
and currently a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in
Greenbush, Knights of Columbus, and a past board member of the
Greenbush Hospital.
Adrian enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, playing cards, crosswords,
visiting with his many friends, and getting the “farm report”.  He
was an excellent historian to the Greenbush community and his faith
and church were very important in his life.  There was always
laughter and joy when the grandchildren and great grandchildren
visited and entertained Adrian.
He is survived by three children, Dale (Mary) Kuznia of Greenbush,
MN, Marlys (Tom) Kittelson of Sauk Centre, MN, and Sandra (Tim)
Kasprowicz of Chaska, MN.; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 1
brother, Ambrose Dolney of Eagan, MN; 2 sister in laws, along with
many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Emily, 2 sisters,
Adelaide and Marcella; 2 brothers, Albin and Eugene, and 1 sister in
law, Dee Dolney.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00AM, Monday, September 17,
2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush with Fr. Luis
Buitron officiating.  Jeanne Novacek was the Organist and Michelle
Kern was the Song Leader.  Eucharistic Ministers were Theresa Novacek
and John & Connie Stanislawski and the Readers were Adrian’s
Granddaughters, Kate Butkowski and Tessa Stanislawski.   Altar
Servers were Ely and Ethan Novacek and Casket Bearers were Adrian’s
Grandchildren, Brandon Kuznia, Matt Kuznia, Ellie Anderson, Kara
Nelson, Kate Butkowski, Sam Kittelson, Kelsey Bushman, and Tessa
Stanislawski.  Honoray Bearers for Adrian were his great
grandchildren.
Visitation was held after 6:00PM, Sunday, at the church with a Prayer
Service at 7:00PM followed by the Rosary led by the Knights of
Columbus.  Visitation was also held one hour prior to services at the
church.
Interment services were held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery
in Greenbush following services at the church.
