Daphne Williamson, 75, of Greenbush, MN died on Monday, September 17, 2012 at her home.
      Daphne Williamson, was born Daphne Lou Sorteberg, the daughter of Theodore & Olivia (Lilliby) Sorteberg, on September 3, 1937 at Badger, Minnesota. She attended school at Fox and Badger, MN.
      She married Arvid Williamson on October 14, 1955. They farmed at Greenbush. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Greenbush. She worked at Arctic Cat in Karlstad, MN from 1970 to 1980 and at Polaris Industries in Roseau from 1982 to 2004.
     Daphne was an avid sports fan. She followed the Minnesota teams, Gophers, Wild, Lynx and rarely missed a Vikings or Twins game.  Other favorite pastimes were her daily walks, often tracking three miles or more.  Daphne enjoyed sitting on her patio listening to music.  She especially enjoyed family and friends and loved her grandchildren very much.
      She is survived by her husband—Arvid.
2 daughters—Suzann (Steve) Prokosch of Chanhassen, MN and Monica (Gary) Trangsrud of Greenbush.
2 sons—Bradley (fiancée Kim Najac) of Fargo, ND and Matthew (Dorie) of Greenbush.
    12 grandchildren—Ryan, Kyle, Carly, Heather, Ben, Megan, Joseph, Montgomery, Bode, Ashley, Amber & Tessany.
    4 great-grandchildren—Keian, Zander, McKenna & Abram.
    2 sisters—Doris (Al) Bryant of Rochester, MN & Ramona (Chet) Berlin of Greenbush.
    1 brother—Odin Sorteberg of East Grand Forks, MN and
    1 sister-in-law—Norma Sorteberg of East Grand Forks, MN.
    Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons—Rodney and Robbie Williamson, twin brother—Dennis Sorteberg, brother—Vernon Sorteberg and sister-in-law—Jean Sorteberg.
      A memorial Service was held on Friday, September 21 in Bethel Lutheran Church of Greenbush with Pastor Mark Mathews, officiating.  Linda Sovde was the organist.  Burial will be later in Bethel Lutheran Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush.
