Cecelia Van Heel, 95, of Roseau, MN, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 in LifeCare Medical Center at Roseau.
      Cecelia Van Heel, was born Cecelia Evelina Olson, the daughter of E.K. & Neda Olson, on April 20, 1917 at Badger, MN.
      Cecelia moved with her family to Kiester, MN and attended school there.  She later returned to the Badger area and then moved to Rockford, Illinois where she married Joseph Chrzanowski. Her two children were born there.  She later moved to Ogilvie, MN where she worked as a housekeeper for the Cambridge State Hospital.  Cecelia later married Henry Van Heel.  They moved to Roseau in 1975 to be near her son Mitch and family.  Henry died on December 27, 2000.  She continued to live in her home in Roseau until 2003 and shortly after moved to LifeCare Roseau Manor.
      Cecelia enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and taking care of her children and grandchildren.  She especially loved her family and the time she spent with them.  They would shower her with Nut Goodie bars and chips.  In the later years, she considered Roseau Manor as home.
      She is survived by her daughter—Mary Ann (Melvin) Swanson of Milaca, MN.  Her son—Mitch (Sandy) Chrzanowski of Roseau, MN.  Grandchildren—Lori Swanson (fiancé Jim), Lance Swanson, Jake (Cassi) Chrzanowski, Kara (Dan) Schletty & Danny Chrzanowski.  9 great-grandchildren—Tiffany, Cassie, Nikki, Andy, Leah, Skylar, Cierra, Myla, Nora and one great-great granddaughter—Dixie.
      She is also survived by 2 sisters—Eunice (Arnold) Wiskow and Arla Wiskow, both of Thief River Falls, MN.  Also many nieces and nephews.
      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother—Harry, & 5 sisters—Adelia, Helen, Elinor, Loraine & Audrey.
     Funeral Services were held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 5:30 PM in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush with Pastor LeRoy Petersen, officiating.  Arlene Jenson provided the special music.  All of Cecelia’s grandchildren were considered Honorary Pallbearers.  Burial was in Nannestad Cemetery of rural Badger, MN with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of arrangements.
