 Marie Chrzanowski, 92, of Greenbush, MN, died on Sunday, September 30, 2012 in LifeCare Greenbush Manor at Greenbush, MN.
      Marie Chrzanowski, was born Marie Theresa Kukowski, the daughter of Peter& Elizabeth (Stanislawski) Kukowski, on August 9, 1920 in Barto Township, rural Greenbush, MN. She attended District 13 Grade School at Leo, MN; 2 years at Greenbush High School and 2 years at Mount St. Benedict in Crookston, MN where she graduated in 1939. Marie married John Frank Chrzanowski on July 12, 1950 at Leo, MN. Marie worked at Polaris Industries in Roseau, MN for several years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Greenbush.
She liked playing cards, word games, and puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with family.
She is survived by 3 children: John “Jack” (Denise) Chrzanowski of Thief River Falls, MN; Kathleen (Don) Munro of Elkhart, Indiana and Ann (Larry) Dziengel of Strandquist, MN.
    9 grandchildren: Melissa Munro Axline, Jennifer Munro, Kristin Chrzanowski Bercel, Carrie Munro Buss, Julie Chrzanowski Christianson, David Chrzanowski,Benjamin Dziengel, Sarah Dziengel Novacek and Andrew Dziengel and 12 great-grandchildren.
    2 sisters-in-law—Betty Kukowski and Bernice Kukowski, both of Greenbush.
    Several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends and a special friend Sing-Sing Pederson.
      She was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, 6 brothers—John, Frank, Peter, Stanley, Al R. & Chester and 6 sisters—Helen, Agnes, Frances, Sophie, Sr. Josephine, Berniece and 5 siblings who died in infancy.
      Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Greenbush with Father Luis Buitron, officiating. Song Leaders were Elle Frislie & Michelle Kern. Alice Blawat was the organist. The Reader was Larry Dziengel and Ely & Ethan Novacek were Altar Servers. The Gift Bearers were Marie’s Great-Grandchildren. Eucharistic Ministers were Noah Novacek, Diane Kjos & Theresa Novacek. Casket Bearers were David Chrzanowski, Benjamin & Andrew Dziengel, Stephen Axline, Nathan Bercel, Trevor Christianson & Michael Kasprowicz.
      Burial was in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush in charge of arrangements.
