Ethel Gregoire, 77
Ethel Gregoire, 77, of East Grand Forks, passed away on Sunday, May 16th, 2010 at her home with her family at her side.
Ethel Mae Jeffrey was born on October 28, 1932 in rural East Grand Forks, the daughter of John and Alice (Gauthier) Jeffrey. Ethel grew up and attended school in East Grand Forks.
On November 14, 1951 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Gregoire at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks. They made their home in East Grand Forks, Maple Lake, and in Arizona.
Ethel was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Ethel loved to play cards and enjoyed spending time with her whole family. Ethel’s strong faith helped carry her through the battle with leukemia eight years ago and more recently gall bladder cancer.
Family members who survive Ethel include her husband Lloyd of East Grand Forks, children: Terri Kay Hlavac, of East Grand Forks, MN, Joy (Jay) Ewing of Moorhead, MN, Renee (Karl) Kringlen of East Grand Forks, Todd Gregoire of East Grand Forks, Danny (Stacie) Gregoire of Moorhead, MN, Karen (Duane) Walden of East Grand Forks, Wayne (Marsha) Gregoire of East Grand Forks, Kent (Georgia) Gregoire of Moorhead, MN, Scott (Sandy) of Grand Forks, ND; 29 Grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Duane (Anna Mae) Jeffrey, Donald Jeffrey, 4 sisters, Rosalie Peterson, Veronica Bulger, Betty Hecht and Jean (Bill) Bagley.
Ethel is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3rd St. NW, East Grand Forks.
Visitation: Tuesday May 18, 2010, 5:00 to 7:00 with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, East Grand Forks.
