Roger Erickson, 70

Roger Allen Erickson, the son of Clara and Albert Erickson was born on January 7, 1940 in Baudette, MN.  He attended school in Baudette and graduated from Baudette High School.
Roger moved to Minneapolis and worked for Pittsburg Paint and Glass for 12 years and then moved to Williams, MN in 1970 and has lived there since.  He married Mary (Anderson) on September 20, 1980 at Zion Lutheran Church in Warroad.  They lived in Williams, and Roger worked at Marvin Windows and Doors for 30 years until his retirement.  
Roger enjoyed his home and working in his garage.  He was a homebody.  He always had a project to work on, either on his house of which he completely remodeled, or his garage where he worked on his cars and house projects.  He loved yard work and working in the garden.  He was unable to plant the garden this year, but he did to get a number of tomato plants planted by his deck with the help of his wife Mary.  Roger and Mary are members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Williams.
Roger Erickson passed away on June 21, 2010 at his home in Williams.  He was 70 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of Williams, son, Shannon Erickson and daughter, Angie Erickson, both of Klamath Falls, OR; stepchildren, Cliff Erickson of Staples, MN, Teresa (Mike) Sevigny of Martinsville, Indiana, and Martin Erickson of Burtrum, MN; three grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and brother Fred (Donna) Erickson of Baudette.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ernie and Melvin, and sisters, Lorraine Clementson and Beverly Johnson.
A funeral service for Roger Erickson will be held on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Williams at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Baudette with a devotional service at 7:30 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church.
