Jane Jensen, 60

Jane Jensen.  After living with gall bladder cancer for 20 months,
Jane Jensen, 60, Stephen, MN left the loving care of her family on
June 24th.  Jane was born August 29, 1949 in Hallock, MN to Elmore
and Elsie (Johnson) Bergh. She graduated from Hallock High School and
received her Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia College,
Moorhead, MN. While at Concordia, she fell in love with John Jensen,
and the two were married on July 25, 1970. For the next forty years,
John and Jane would raise their family on their farm in Stephen, MN,
and run the business they began together, Jensen Seed Company. There
were many shining stars in Jane’s life, but none shone brighter than
her grandchildren, Conner, Jevin, Holly, Isabelle and Lucy. Jane
pledged to be the grandma who never said no, and she spoiled her
grandchildren with love and attention. She created storybooks using
pictures of the children, and enjoyed her family weekends at the
lake, complete with sandy feet, wet swimsuits, and plenty of freeze
pops. Jane also created quilts for her grandchildren, complete with a
storybook to explain the meaning behind each quilt. Family meant
everything to Jane, whether it was a trip with all her grandkids to
Disneyworld, or the countless hours she spent caring for her mother
after the death of her father in 2004. Jane never turned down an
opportunity to care for her grandkids, visit her siblings or plan a
family outing. When she wasn’t entertaining her family, Jane enjoyed
afternoons with the quilting ladies, coffee on the patio with
neighbors, and tending to the numerous flower beds around her home.
Jane is survived by her husband John, children Brian (Betsy) Jensen,
Stephen, Derick (Dawn) Jensen, Woodland Park, CO, and Angie (Nathan)
Smith, Crookston, MN, five grandchildren, sister June Jewett, Casper,
WY, brother Elroy (Debra) Bergh, Hallock, mother in law Lorna Jensen,
Stephen, sisters in law Judy Bennett and Mary Marten, Portland, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmore and Elsie, father in
law Alfred Jensen, and brothers in law Thomas Jewett and Scott
Bennett.
