Melford G. Boen, 85

Boen, Melford G., age 85, passed from this life into Eternity on July 20, 2010.  Mel was a long-time resident of Buena Park, California, a retiree from the painting crew at USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, and a WWII Navy veteran. Mel was born to Grace and Edward Boen on February 2, 1945.  He grew up on “the farm” in Strandquist, Minnesota, the oldest of 7 siblings: Phillip, Chester, Joyce, Lyla, Evelyne and Gerald.  Most of all, he will be remembered as a hard-working, faithful and loving man, husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by 5 siblings; his wife Selma; his children Mark Boen and Marlene Apodaca; and his four grandchildren, Allison, Natalie, Chandler & HeatherApodaca.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Phillip.
