Paul Ray Kurowski, 59

Paul Ray Kurowski, the son of the late August and Rose (Borowicz) Kurowski, was born on June 22, 1951, at Karlstad, MN.  He attended school and grew to manhood in the Karlstad community and was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith.  He quit high school and went to work for Bogestad’s and other farmers in the Karlstad area.  He worked at MCI in Pembina for two years, then worked for Mark Prosser Farms until 1989 when began his current employment at American Crystal Sugar in Drayton, ND. On July 6, 1995, Paul was united in marriage to Alyce Anderson at Las Vegas, NV.  They have since made their home at Lake Bronson.  In 1998, they purchased a small farm place in Roosevelt, MN., where they spent most of their time.  Paul loved the outdoors, cutting wood, gardening and most of all, four-wheeling.  His family, including the people at American Crystal, and his friend were everything to him.  Paul was a member of the Halma – Lake Bronson Sons of the American Legion Squadron for 21 years. He believed in living every moment to the fullest.  He was looking forward to retirement in 3 years so they could travel in the winter months and live at Roosevelt during the summers.  He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.  Paul passed away Saturday morning, July 31, 2010, at the age of 59 years, 1 month and 9 days due to injuries received in a four-wheeler accident.

   He is survived by his wife, Alyce;  one sister: Sandra (Keith) Finney, of Mayville, ND;  one brother: James (Mary), of Minot, ND; three aunts: Luella, Regina and Adeline;  in addition to several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

   Paul was preceded in death by his parents; step-father: Willie Olson; brothers: August, David,  and Robert; sisters: Dorothy, Doloris and Mary; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
