June Lorraine Holter, 86
June left her earthly home on Monday, August 2, 2010 in Casper, WY. She was born June Lorraine Mattson on May 12, 1924 in Greenbush, MN to Sven and Alva Mattson. After growing up in MN she moved to CA and then in the fall of 1960 she married Lon Holter. She and Lon resided in Casper until 1966 when they moved to Riverton, WY. The family then moved briefly to Stevensville, MT before returning to Riverton and starting their own businesses. Following the death of her husband Lon, she moved back to Casper where she resided until her death.
June is survived by her sons Mark (Jennifer) of Vail, CO and Lance of Maui, HI; her brother Robert (Linda) Mattson of Gardnerville, NV; sisters-in-law Charlotte Mattson of Bradenton, FL and Della Snustead of Roseau, MN; grandson Zachary; granddaughters Julianna, River, Jade and Sarah; great-grandson Quinton along with numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lon, brothers Ray, Wayne, Don, Paul and Richard, sisters Margie and Ruth, an infant son Jeffrey and son Rick.
It is with tremendous gratitude that we would like to thank Sheila (Graham) Kimble and life long friend Lenor “Red” Johnson who past in 2005 for their help, love, and dedication over the years. We can never repay your graciousness.
Memorial services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton, WY on Friday, August 13 by the grave of Lon and June at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in June’s name at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Casper, WY.
