Lynette Severson, 38

A funeral service for Lynette R. Severson of Roseau will be held on Friday, August 6, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Roseau at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Roseau, and also one hour prior to the funeral at church.  A devotional service will be held at Helgeson Funeral Chapel on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Lynette Renae Severson was born on September 23, 1971 in Thief River Falls, MN to Darlene (Lins) and Donald Thompson.  She attended high school in Roseau, graduating from Roseau High School in 1990.  She then attended St. Cloud State where she received her degree in education.
Lynette married Ryan Severson on March 18, 1995 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Roseau.  They have three boys, Austin, Alec, and Aydon, and live in Roseau.  
Lynette loved her family and friends dearly.  Her life revolved around her family.  She followed her boys during hockey season throughout the winter months, and enjoyed their cabin with them at Buffalo. She enjoyed special days with her nieces and nephews and they loved her “Auntie Nette” pancakes.   
Lynette looked for the good in everyone she met.  She was full of life and was always the life of the party.  Nine days prior to her passing she enjoyed a wonderful time with her high school graduating class where she reminisced about old times and told stories about her family. She had a wonderful time.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, and a favorite aunt.  She loved children dearly and worked at Early Head Start for Northwest Community Action in Roseau with kids under four years old, and with many who had special needs.  Lynette also enjoyed fishing, camping, running and exercise, and gardening.
Lynette Severson passed away on Monday, August 2.  She was 38 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Ryan Severson of Roseau; children, Austin, Alec, and Aydon; parents, Donald and Darlene Thompson of Warroad; siblings, Joan Zak (Gary McNitt) of Henderson, CO, Wyann (Gene) Janousek of Greenbush, MN, Dawn (Mike) Zak of Thompson, ND, Rick Thompson of Salol, Jean (Ron) Domenico of West Minster, CO, Lynelle (Jason) Monsrud of Roseau, and Paul (Kristi) Thompson of Salol; grandmother, Elsie Thompson of Roseau; mother and father-in-law Joanne and Robert Severson of Wannaska; brothers-in-law, Mike (Julie) Severson of West Fargo, and Scott (Christy) Severson of Roseau; and grandfather-in-law, Charles Bergstrom of Wannaska. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Lynette loved many people and was loved dearly by her family and friends.
