Glenn Leroy Olson, 71

Glenn Leroy Olson, the son of Hazel (Anderson) and the late Oscar H. Olson, was born on April 29, 1939, at Strathcona, Minnesota. He attended school and grew to manhood there and later moved to Hopkins, Minnesota, where he was employed for several years. In 1960, Glenn was united in marriage to Beverly Dunn at Hopkins. In 1966, the couple moved to California and later to Clackamas, Oregon, where he worked as a truck driver. Beverly passed away in 1988 and Glenn moved to Vancouver, Washington. In 2000, he married Diane Welker at Vancouver. Approximately five years ago he moved to Karlstad where he has since resided. He passed away unexpectedly at his home in Karlstad on Monday morning, September 6, 2010, at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 7 days.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, of Vancouver; daughter: Becky (Bob) Belden, of Portland Oregon; one grandson: Michael; his mother: Hazel Olson Brandvold, of Minneapolis; one brother: Gayle (Lily) Olson, of Plymouth, Minnesota; one sister: Marilyn (George) Goers, of Boise, Idaho; one aunt: Lorraine Jones, of Oregon City, Oregon; 21 cousins; in addition to several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Glenn was preceded in death by his first wife; and his father in 1966.
