Elsie Rolland, 65

Funeral services for Elsie Rolland were held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Gill Brothers Funeral Chapel in Bloomington, MN.  Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.  Elsie passed away November 27, 2010 at her home in Bloomington, MN.
Elsie Alice Otto, daughter of Dorothy (Graham) & LeRoy G. Otto was born March 4, 1945 in Warroad, MN.  Her family moved to Badger where she attended school and graduated from Badger High School in 1963.  Elsie married Daniel Nash in July 1965.  They made their home in St Paul, MN, where their daughter, Valerie, and son, Scott, were born.  In December 1984 she married Terrance Rolland and they lived in Bloomington, MN.
Elsie loved spending time on their boat, going fishing, and working in her flower gardens.  Her family and especially her grandchildren were very special to Elsie. She was a very active member and past president (serving 4 terms) of the Bloomington American Legion Auxiliary Post #550.  She volunteered countless hours of time to the Legion and her community.
Elsie is survived by her children, Valerie Nash and Scott Nash, stepdaughter, Melissa Schrader; 4 grandchildren: April (Rob) Smith, Watt Lee IV, Benjamin & Terry Frehr; 5 brothers: Richard(Sandy) of Badger, MN, Earl(Myrna) of Arlington, WA, Walter(Kathy) of Hugo, MN,  Arthur of Arlington, WA, John(Linda) of Stanwood, WA; 3 sisters: Ella Davison of Bloomington, MN, Dorothy(Larry)Metsala of Bloomington, MN, Delores(Rodney)Paulson of Roseau, MN; sister-in-law Leona Otto of Wannaska, MN.  She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Terrance in 2001, her parents and brother, LeRoy D. Otto.
