Amy O. Vatnsdal, 64
Amy O. Vatnsdal, 64 of Jordan, MN passed away at her home on December 21st, 2010. She was born on October 14, 1946 to parents, Arthur and Mary Lou (Wallin) Docken in Roseau, MN. She and her siblings grew up on a farm in Greenbush, MN. After graduating high school she met Gene Vatnsdal of Badger, MN. They were married April 22, 1967. They lived, worked and raised their family in northern Minneapolis. Amy moved to Jordan, MN in 2004. Amy loved to bowl, garden and antique. She adored her children and was a hockey supporter for both of her sons. Amy loved listening to country western music. But her favorite thing of all was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heaven Marie Vatnsdal, her father, Arthur Docken her sister, Evelyn (Docken) Christianson and nephew, Gregory Docken.
She will be forever missed by sons, Brandon Vatnsdal of Jordan, Dean Vatnsdal of Minneapolis.; grandchildren, Isaiah & Cayleeana; mother, Mary Lou Docken of Jordan, brothers: Richard (JoAnn) Docken of Norwood, Floyd (Shirley) Docken of Stillwater, Donald (Kathy) Docken of Hastings; sisters: Jeannette Miller of White Bear Lake, Sandra (Kevin) Louis of Chaska, Catherine Appel of New Prague, many other relatives and friends.
Amy’s Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 14th, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Hope Lutheran Church in Jordan, MN with visitation two hours prior the service. Pastor Steve Thompson will officiate.
Urnbearer will be her grandson, Isaiah Vatnsdal.
