Arley Jon Wicklund, 71

Arley Jon Wicklund of Baudette, MN passed away on February 23, 2011 at the LakeWood Health Center in Baudette at the age of 71.
Arley was born on July 23, 1939 in Strathcona, MN to Jonas and Agnes Wicklund. He was raised in Kennedy, MN and later served the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He lived in St. Paul, White Bear Lake prior to moving to Baudette, MN in 2000. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his life-long work as a mechanic. He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and as a great storyteller.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle of Baudette; daughter, Laura (Dennis) of Amery, WI; grandchildren, Jon (Andy), Adam (ReNee), Emily, Ashley (Sam); and great-grandchildren, Nova and Landen. Also surviving are brother, Jon (Betty) and sister, Gladys (Al) and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susanne; brothers, Vernon and Morris; and sisters, Marcella, Rosella, Shirley, and an infant sister.
A public visitation will be on Saturday, February 26th from 4-7 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Baudette. A public visitation/wake will be on Monday, February 28th, evening from 4-7 PM at Willwescheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave in St. Paul, with burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
