Adeline Christine Ingebrigtsen, the daughter of the late Chris and Esther (Stahlberg) Pederson, was born on Oct. 27, 1917, in Springbrook Township of Kittson County, near Karlstad, Minnesota. She graduated from the former Lafayette Grade School near her home. On June 26, 1940, Adeline was united in marriage to Ingolf Ingebrigtsen at the Karlstad Pentecostal Church in Karlstad. Adeline was active in church ministries, filling the position of Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, church pianist and in later years, church organist. She and Ingolf were vocalists on the radio broadcast, “Words of Life”, heard over radio station KTRF in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, together with their pastor, John Riveness. This radio broadcast was heard through-out Northwestern Minnesota, Northeastern North Dakota and Southern Manitoba, Canada, for 43 years spreading the good news of Jesus Christ! Adeline was a “Practical Nurse” for 28 years at the former Karlstad Memorial Hospital in Karlstad. In 1994, she and Ingolf sold the farm and moved to Edmonds, Washington, to be closer to their family. Ingolf passed away on October 21, 1999, and Adeline continued to make her home in Edmonds. She passed away there on March 27, 2011, at the age of 93 years and 5 months.
Adeline is survived by her son: Leyden (Lila), of Edmonds; one daughter: Lynnae (Paul) Kraus, of Olympia, Washington; 7 granddaughters; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers: Harvey and Garner; and one sister: Lucille Olson.
