Tony Strozyk, 82

Tony Strozyk, 82, of Badger, MN died on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fargo, ND.
     Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 29 at 9:00 A.M. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Greenbush with Father Luis Buitron, officiating. Burial will be in Blessed Sacrament Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by Moen-Zimek Post 88, American Legion of Greenbush.
     Tony Stanley Strozyk, the son of Stanley & Marie (Solarz) Strozyk, was born July 6, 1928 in St. Wendell Township, Stearns County, near St. Joseph, MN.  He grew up and attended school there.  He served in the US Army and married Phyllis Solem while serving in the military. He worked on the Iron Range of Minnesota and in the Twin Cities area, settling in Roseau County in about 1971 where he did carpenter work for several years. Tony loved to visit.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Daughters—Janet Emery and Joyce (Lavern) Emery of Greenbush and Judy Morlan of Greenbush.
   6 Grandchildren—Josh (Sheree) Strozyk of Karlstad, MN,
Sara (Les) Dahlgren of Roseau, MN, Mark Emery of Greenbush, Nikki (Chris) Mellstrom of Roseau, MN, Ryan Strozyk of Burnsville and Tony (Jesyka) Morlan of Greenbush.
   8 great-grandchildren—Robert, Caleb, Ashley & Madilyn Mellstrom, Presley & Kenai Dahlgren, Chassidy Morlan & Ella Strozyk.
  Brother—Alphone (Esther) Struzyk of St. Joseph, MN.
  Sisters—Marcella (Frank) Warzeka of Holdingford, MN & Angie (Tony) Kostreba of Rice, MN.    Sister-in-law—Karen Struzyk of Holdingford, MN.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and granddaughter—Mary Beth Emery. 5 Brothers—Eddie, Tommy, Louie, Walter & Stanley Strozyk.
     Arrangements are with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of  Greenbush.
