Albert Henry Jaeger passed away peacefully at his home in Baudette, MN surrounded by family on June 21, 2011 at the age of 66.
Albert was born on March 25, 1945 in Mankato, MN to Martha (Schull) and John Jaeger. He grew up and attended school in Mapleton, MN, graduating from High School in 1963. He later attended the University of Minnesota and worked with his father on the farm while in the National Guard. He and Gwethalyn (Engel) were married on December 6, 1969. In 1981, they moved to Baudette, MN where they owned and operated the Red Carpet Lodge for several years. Albert worked as the night manager at Holiday Station Stores in Baudette for 23 years.
He was very much a “people person” and enjoyed visiting with everyone. He enjoyed fishing, singing and listening to music. He was a member of the Wabanica Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gwethalyn of Baudette; daughters, Jennalyn Jaeger (Scott Barnes) of Lakeville, MN, Annie (Brad) Pierce of Farmington, MN and Jillian (Donald) Crook of Farmington, MN; 9 grandchildren, Joseph, Brady, Lillyann, Cameron, Ava, Isaac, Lila, Isabella and Maxwell; and sisters, Ardis, Audrey and Delores. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 25th at 10:30 AM at Wabanica Lutheran Church north of Baudette, MN.
