Maxine Halarie (Fontaine) Haukaas
On Monday June 20, 2011, through the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, our heavenly Father called Maxine Halarie (Fontaine) Haukaas home to heaven. There she was joyously reunited with her husband of 53 years, Rowley, her mother, Bertina, grandfather, Henry Knudson, and brother-in-law Harvik.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Halarie and Larry Hartel, Wayne and Jeannie Haukaas; grandsons and their spouses, Michael and Susan Haukaas, David Haukaas and Heather McDougall; brother and sister-in-law Harvey and Joan Haukaas, sisters-in-law Florence Haukaas, and Charlotte and Marvin Anderson; many nieces and nephews.
She will always be remembered for her great smile, love of animals, music, and dancing. She adored her grandsons, attending all their school and Boy Scout activities. They know she was the best grandma ever.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 25 at First Lutheran Church in Baudette, MN. Committal services were conducted at Elm Park Cemetery.
