Carl Leonard Aery, 76, of Baudette, died June 30, 2011, at Lakewood Care Center in Baudette.
Carl was born to Charles and Elvera (Samuelson) Aery on July 6, 1934, in Amy, Colorado. The family moved to Rako, Minnesota in 1937 where Carl attended the Rako School with his nine brothers and sisters.

In 1973, Carl and Jo, along with their three children, moved to the Carp area where Carl continued to farm and raise his family. For the next thirty-five years the farm not only provided a living, it provided a place for Carl to enjoy some of his favorite things in life, including hunting, fishing, and a place for family, friends, and neighbors to gather.
