Adeline V. Johnson, 82

Adeline V. Johnson, 82, of Lake Bronson, Minnesota passed away at
Altru Hospital in Grand Forks on Tuesday, August 30th, 2011.  Adeline
Nay was born July 21, 1929 on the family farm at Lake Bronson to Paul
and Blenda (Blomquist) Nay, however the birth was not recorded until
the following day so she felt her birthday should be celebrated both
days!  She was one of ten children; five girls and five boys.  She
attended country school in Lake Bronson, was baptized and confirmed
in the Lutheran faith.  In her youth she worked on the family farm
and later moved to California to join other family members.  There
she met and married Ed Wiley, they had one daughter, Vicki.  Later
she met and married Ronald Johnson from Lancaster, Minnesota, they
had three daughters; Wanda (who passed away at the age of four on
March 11, 1962), Roxane and Brenda.  Several years later she met her
lifelong companion Ronald (no! no!) Guzowski.  They made their home
in Hayward, California where Adeline was a housekeeper at the Oliver
Estate.  In 1971 the family moved to Lake Bronson, there she worked
for area farmers until she was 75 years old.  Adeline was proud to be
a farmer from Minnesota, what she called “God’s Country”.  She also
enjoyed crocheting and is well known for her beautiful afghans.  She
faithfully played the lottery and one of her greatest loves was
fishing, both in summer and winter.  She even had her own ice fishing
house.  She also loved to visit with family and friends on her deck
and that is where you could always find her on nice days.
Adeline is survived by three daughters, Vicki Lundberg, Lake
Bronson, Roxane (Scott) Klegstad, Karlstad, MN and Brenda (George)
Williams, Lake Bronson; a brother, Byron Nay, Lake Bronson; two
granddaughters, Megan Hanson, Lake Bronson and Renee Hanson, Thief
River Falls, MN; and three great grandchildren, Kristi Grzadzieleski,

preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed Wiley; husband, Ronald
Johnson; companion Ronald (no! no!) Guzowski; a daughter, Wanda Kay;
brothers, Toby, Floyd, Boyd and Lee; and sisters, Hazel, Mabel, Rose
and Margaret.  She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
