Anna Louise Chilgren, 89
Anna Louise Chilgren passed away September 18, 2011 at the Lakewood Health Center at the age of 89. Anna was born October 4, 1921 in Rolla, North Dakota to Elvira (Koski) and Charles Johnson. She was raised south of Graceton and graduated from High School in Williams, Minnesota in 1940. On March 17, 1942 she married Emmett Chilgren in Hibbing, Minnesota. They had two daughters, Janette and Vivian. Anna loved her family and friends. She loved dancing, music and traveling. Anna was a member of the First Congregational Church, American Legion Auxillary, and the VFW Auxillary.
Anna is survived by her children, Janette (Lee) Hardy and Vivan (Rich) Kevan; sisters, Irene Gailfus, Hazel Moorman, Grace (Noreen) Hanson; brothers, Walter (Violet) Johnson, Willard (Sue) Johnson, Russell(Casey) Johnson and sister-in-law, Marie Johnson; grandchildren, Dana DeVore, Derek Biddle, Jeffrey (Angela) Hardy, Aaron(Jessica) Hardy; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emmett; brothers Ray and Glen; sister, Edith Jensen; brothers-in-law Jack Jensen and Clifford Moorman; sister-in-law, Pearl Johnson. A Memorial service for Anna will be September 23, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Congregational Church in Baudette,MN.
