Jacob David Hoops was born on June 23, 2003 in Mitchell, SD to Daniel & Lucinda Hoops and passed away November 2nd, 2011, in his home in Baudette, MN.
Jacob’s love for life was addictive to all that new him. He was an early riser to spend his quality time with Dad. His nights were spent rocking with Mom in her chair. His love for his brothers was shown by sharing his last pieces of gum with them and not getting one himself. His love for his sister, Nellie was shown by his contagious smile. He always led with his heart and not his head.
Jacob’s love for the outdoors was spent riding his bike for hours, or playing in the dirt with his trucks, or jumping on the trampoline for hours, or sledding down the hill in the winter. Jacob was an avid Twins fan and he loved watching them win or lose.
Jacob is survived by his parents, Daniel & Lucinda Hoops of Baudette, MN; sister, Dannielle Schmit (Scotty), brothers, Austin Hiemstra, Jaydon Hiemstra, & Hunter Hoops; grandfather, Marvin Hiemstra of Platte, SD; grandmother, Elvera Hoops of Shorewood, MN; special friend, Emily Miller; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by Grandmother, Ruth Hiemstra and grandfather, Albert Hoops.
Visitation on Monday November 7, 2011 from 5-7pm @ Helgeson Funeral Chapel in Baudette with prayer service at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday November 8, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baudette with Interment at Elm Park Cemetery.
