Caroline Marie Dolney was born on March 28, 1945 in Warren, MN to Clarinda (Rud) and Arnold Cormier. She graduated from Grand Forks High School and then attended the University of North Dakota for two years.
Caroline married Norman Thompson in 1961 and they had seven children; Carla, Byron, Noreen, Twyla, Dawn, Mary, and Angela. In 1985 she married Max Dolney and they had one daughter, Joy.
Caroline enjoyed sewing, reading, baking, and singing. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a volunteer at the CBS in Roseau and was very involved in ALANON. She was a member of Woodland Bible Church in Warroad. Caroline loved the Lord and spent countless hours reading her Bible.
Caroline Dolney passed away on Monday, November 21, at LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau. She was 66 years old.
She is survived by her husband Max Dolney; children: Carla Simmons of Burnsville, MN, Byron Thompson of Bismarck, ND, Noreen Brune of Belle Plaine, MN, Twyla (Ron) Gjovik of Williams, MN, Dawn (Tim) Payne of Missoula, MT, Mary (Peter) Thompson-Kehdon of Shakopee, MN, Angela (Terry) Morris of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Joy (Dave) Dolney Herie of Chiliwick, British Columbia; step-children: Cindy Brundage of Rantoul, Ill, Debbra (Tim) Ward of Hampstead, NC, Evelyn Hesler of Grand Rapids, MI, Melinda (Jim) Yager of Beaverton, MI; siblings: Joann Nelson of Karlstad, MN, Adrian Cormier of Karlstad, MN, and Elsie (Howie) Norman of Duluth, MN, and LeRay Cormier of Strandquist, MN; 28 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Clarinda Cormier and one sister, Cindy Cormier.
Funeral Services for Caroline Dolney of Badger, formerly of Warroad, will be held on Friday, November 25, at the Woodland Bible Church in Warroad at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
