Ora Minor Fish, 82, of Williams, MN died on Friday, December 17, 2011 at his home. He was born on January 3, 1929 to William and Minnie (Berg) Fish in Warroad, MN.
Ora married Patricia Firkus on April 9, 1951 in International Falls, MN. They lived in the International Falls area for a short time before moving to Minneapolis, MN, following Ora’s enlistment in the U.S. Army. He then moved to the west coast from 1956 to 1969, before returning to the Warroad area where he farmed for 10 years. He worked in various industries including Greyhound, Marvin Windows & Doors, the Railroad, logging and trucking. He retired at the age of 77 and enjoyed time at home with family.
Ora is survived by his children, Jerry (Leann) Fish of Bemidji, MN, Sandra (Keith) Hjelmstad of Chugiak, AK, Susan Fish of Bemidji, MN, and Karen Fish of Williams, MN; his sisters, Elsie and Cookie; his brothers, Albin, Ted, John, Guy, Butch and David; nine grandchildren; eighteen great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rodney and Milford; sisters, Dorothy and Etta, his wife, Patricia and his son, Randy.
A memorial visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Warroad.
