Brad J. Schuster, 55

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brad J. Schuster, 55, of Fairmont, MN will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont.  Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Memorial Park in Fairmont.  A visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  A prayer service will be held at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Lakeview Funeral Home.
            Brad passed away Saturday evening, April 7, 2012 at his home in Fairmont surrounded by his family.
            Bradley James Schuster was born on October 18, 1956 in Wells, MN, the son of James and Marian (Hanson) Schuster.  Brad went to elementary school in Wells and then attended Granada-Huntley Schools where he graduated in 1975.  On August 21, 1976 he was united in marriage to Connie Marie Anderson at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont.  They lived in Granada where they raised three children.  Brad worked as a machinist and welder at Fairmont Railway Motors from 1978 – 1994.  He then worked at Greenlee until they closed in 2003 and then he went back to Harsco – Railway Motors until he was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.  For many years Brad owned and operated Schuster’s Small Engine and Repair and enjoyed repairing small engines.
            He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont and the UAW union.  Brad enjoyed deer hunting and taking his grandchildren fishing.  He mostly cherished spending time with all of his family.
            Those that will cherish his memory include his wife, Connie Schuster of Fairmont; two daughters, Bridgit Tenney and her husband, Duane, of Fairmont, Theresa Heavirland and her husband, Terry Jr., of Trimont; one son, Matthew Schuster and his wife, Jennifer, of Granada; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and one grandson due in June; father, James Schuster and his wife, Rosie, of Baudette, MN; one brother, Bill Schuster and his wife, Ann, of Side Lake, MN; four sisters, Judi Kuchenbecker and her husband, Don, of Blue Earth, Jane Kruse and her husband, Danny, of Albert Lea, Barbie Salic of California, Jacque Kruse and her husband, Doug, of Cadillac, MI; sisters-in-law, Pam Sheeley and her husband, Steve, Julie Laue and her husband, Jeff, all of Fairmont; thirteen step brothers and sisters; grandmother-in-law, Bernice Hendrickson of Fairmont; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.
            Brad was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Marian and Merle Halverson; grandparents, Helen and Edward Schuster, Nellie and Albert Hansen; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Marjean and Dean Railsback; father-in-law, Roger Anderson; nephew, Benjamin Kruse; and niece, Jasmine Jane Johnson.
