Helen Ramberg, 91
On June 22, 2012, Helen Ramberg age 91 years, 6 months, and 16 days died ending her long journey of life. She was surrounded by friends and family and now is joining her loved ones who have already passed. Helen Jezdik was born on December 6, 1920 in Rako Township to Joseph & Marie Jezdik. They lived in Waskish, MN and later moved to Pitt, MN. Helen with great determination graduated from Baudette High School in 1938.
On December 28, 1942 Helen was united in marriage to Edgar Ramberg Sr. in Pitt, MN, where they resided. They had three children Edgar Jr., Martin, and Wendy. Helen worked as a Waitress in a Café in Baudette, Trinity Hospital in Baudette, and at Marvin Windows for 18 years. After husband Edgar passed in 1973 she continued working at Marvin’s and remained on the family farm in Pitt, MN. In September of 1982, Helen was recognized as the Employee of the Month. Helen retired from Marvin’s in 1984.
After Helen’s retirement she had many hobbies including gardening, fine needle work, being outdoors gathering blueberries, asparagus, horseradish and wild mushrooms. She also enjoyed baking and canning for friends and neighbors. With Helen coffee and conversation was always on. In 2006, Helen moved to Fosston, MN to live with her daughter until her death.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Gary) Godtland of Fosston, MN; grandchildren, Shawn (Mo) Brandon, Darel (Lynn) Ramberg, Darren (Sarah) Ramberg, Michael Armstrong, and Matthew Ludwig; sister Sadie Ferrier; sister-in-law, Esther Avery; 5 great grandchildren, Ty, Lincoln, Gunner, Boston, and Motley; daughter-in-laws, Sharon (Frank) Skappel, Margaret Sonstegaard and many special friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar Sr.; sons, Edgar Jr. “Eddie”, and Martin; grandchildren, Scott “Scotty”, Shelly, and Sandy; brother, Anton “Tony”; sisters, Mildred and Mary, and also two nephews.

A Funeral Service for Helen Ramberg will be held Thurday, June 28, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Pitt Community Church in Pitt, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to be held at Pitt-Riverside Cemetery in Pitt, MN.
