Quintin Carlson, 77

Quintin Carlson, 77, of rural Badger, MN, died on Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Altru Hospital at Grand Forks, ND.
       Quintin B. Carlson, the son of John R. & Ella Florence (Helgeson) Carlson, was born September 8, 1934 at Duxby (now rural Badger), MN.  He grew up there and attended school at Duxby and Badger.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Later he returned home and worked for area farmers for several years.  In the fall of the year, he worked the Potato Harvest.  He also was employed at Polaris Industries at Roseau, MN for many years.
      He was a member of the Halma-Lake Bronson American Legion Post #315.
      Quintin is survived by 3 sisters—Lois Carlson of Badger,  Darlene (Larry) Rosenthal of Tempe, Arizona and Christine (Dennis) Timm of Minneapolis. 1 nephew—Daniel, 2 nieces—Lauri & Paula, a great-nephew—Seth and a great-niece—Leah.  Also 1 aunt—Delia Helgeson of International Falls, MN.
      He was preceded in death by his parents.
      Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush with Pastor Jim Christenson, officiating. Music by Heather Carlson.  Casket Bearers will be Roy, Mike & Matt Carlson, Myron Heddan, Randy Erickson, Brian and Wayne Trangsrud.
      Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday and one hour before the services on Friday in the Funeral Chapel.
      Burial will follow in the Badger City Cemetery, Badger, MN, with Military Honors provided by the Halma-Lake Bronson American Legion Post #315.        
      Arrangements are with Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush.
