Henrietta Jane (Anderson) Olson passed away on July 3, 2012 at the Warroad Care Center, Warroad, MN at the age of 86.
Henrietta was born on June 26, 1926 in Williams, MN to John (J.A.W.) & Cora (Hedtke) Anderson. She attended Williams schools and was active in band and other activities. She graduated from Williams High School in 1944.
On August 9, 1954 Henrietta married George L. Olson at Bethany Lutheran Church in Williams, MN. Over the years, although GeorgeÕs positions in education required moves first to Brainerd and then to International Falls, they made their primary home in Williams. Henrietta was the church organist for Bethany Lutheran Church, in Williams for 60 years. She was also the church organist at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church in Roosevelt, MN. As such, she enjoyed directing many Christmas pageants, and Easter cantatas, and directing the choirs (youth and adult). She also helped George in his activities by keeping score during many softball and baseball games, and was involved with the 9th District Legion Band, and the Williams Community Center. She was a strong advocate for the community of Williams, MN and surrounding area, proudly supporting first Potato Days and then Back Home Days in Williams.
Henrietta is survived by her brother, Cletus B. Anderson (Roberta), her sister-in-law, Evangelynn Anderson, and several nieces and nephews, and also her Bethany Lutheran Church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George, and one brother, Dwain.
A Funeral Service for Henrietta Olson of Warroad, MN will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Williams, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment held at Pine Hill Cemetery, Williams, MN.
