Kaylee Fenton, 23
Kaylee Fenton, 23, of East Grand Forks, passed away at Altru Hospital on Friday, September 7, 2012. Kaylee was diagnosed at the age of 3 with Fibroysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, FOP.
Kaylee Jean Fenton was born on February 14th, 1989 at United (Altru) Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of David and Jeannie (Flicek) Fenton. Kaylee was an inspiration to all who knew her. Even as her disease progressed she remained an outgoing and determined young lady. She was involved in her friends and family through texting and Facebook. She loved camping, fishing and campfires.
Kaylee attended East Grand Forks Senior High School and graduated with the Class of 2007. Throughout her school years Kaylee was involved in many activities: cheerleading, musicals, band and choir. She was honored by her peers as the Freshman Homecoming Attendant at East Grand Forks Senior High School. Following her High School graduation, she attended Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks where she was enrolled in the Medical Coding Program.
The family respectively asks that memorials be preferred.
Loving Family members of Kaylee include her parents, David and Jeannie Fenton of East Grand Forks, MN; siblings, Kyle Fenton of Grand Forks, ND, Kory Fenton and Kimberly Fenton both of East Grand Forks, MN; grandparents, Ted and Bev Flicek of East Grand Forks, MN and Jerry and Bev Fenton of Ham Lake, MN along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kaylee is preceded in death by her aunt Gail Fenton.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 3rd St. NW, East Grand Forks, MN.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church and also 1 hour prior Funeral Service on Wednesday.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery ~ East Grand Forks, MN
