Ludwig John Stusynski, 86

Ludwig John Stusynski, 86, died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND of complications from diabetes.
 
Ludwig John was born July 28, 1926 at home in a grain storage bin because the house was being remodeled. He attended school at Englund in Nelson Park Township a half mile from his home. On April 6, 1948, he married Alvina Borowicz at the Assumption Catholic Church of Florian, the first couple married in the basement of the new church. They lived and farmed where he was born, and raised a family of 10 children.
 
He was a member of the Polish National Alliance, he served on the Englund School Board, and when telephone service came to the area, he was the service lineman.
 
He loved to fish, hunt, play cards, and when Alvina was alive, they loved to go dancing. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ludwig loved farming so much he would have loved to have died in a tractor.
 
Ludwig is survived by his 5 sons and 5 daughters, Julian (Linda), Vernon (special friend Christi), Annette (John) Wawrzyniak, Virgil, Kenneth (Mary), David (Diane), Louise (Mark) Szklarski, all of Strandquist, MN, Josephine (Keith) Johnson, Grand Forks, ND, Elledean (Darrin) Moffett, Fargo, ND, and Monica Bushaw, Jacksonville, NC, 34 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and sister, Joan Omdahl of East Grand Forks, MN.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife Alvina, parents, Adam and Anna, brothers Bernard and Robert, and sisters, Florence and Loretta.
 
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian, MN.
VISITATION:     After 5:00 PM with a 6:15 PM Rosary and 6:30 PM Prayer Service on Thursday at Assumption Catholic Church in Florian and one hour before services at the church on Friday.
INTERMENT: Assumption Cemetery, Florian, MN.
