Lorna Marion Tait, 67

Lorna Marion Tait passed away on June 3, 2013 at the Warroad Senior Living Center at the age of 67.

Lorna was born on April 24, 1946 in Johnstown, PA to Lewis and Lula Mae (McDaniel).  She moved to California as a young child and attended school there.  She and Donald Norberg were married in 1962.  She later married Stephen Tait on April 25, 1995.  She lived in Arizona from 1992 until 2000.  She worked and an embroiderer and made designs on hats and T-shirts for Nike.  She also helped start an embroidery company in Arizona as well.  In 2000, she moved to Roseau, MN and worked at Polaris Industries, until her declining health forced her to retire and be a full-time wife and grandma.

Lorna loved sewing, crocheting, gardening, fishing and spending time with her family.  Having only one child of her own, she became a “mom” to many other friends and relatives.  She will be missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina (Chad) Haphey of Roseau; grandchildren, Anthony and Dakota Garcia, and Trinity and Destiny Haphey; siblings, Bonnie Boothby, Sandra Glaze, Lula Logan, and Kenneth Webb.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Donald and Stephen; and sister, Mary.
