Carol Ann Scharfenkamp, 70
Carol Ann Scharfenkamp of Baudette, MN passed away on June 24, 2013 at the LakeWood Health Center in Baudette, MN at the age of 70.
Carol was born on June 14, 1943 in Hutchinson, MN to Raymond A. Fogelstrom and Ruth (Garlarnau). She moved to Nevada, Iowa as a young girl and later graduated from High School in 1961. She and Roy Scharfenkamp were married on January 26, 1963. They lived in Carroll, Iowa, before moving to Nevada, IA to live from 1965-1978. Carol stayed at home with her three sons. They moved to Baudette, MN in 1978, and Carol worked at the Trinity Hospital (LakeWood) as the manager of housekeeping until 1995. She was known for her meticulous attention to detail and took great pride in her work.
In her free time, she loved fishing. She spent many days with her family on the lakes of Minnesota, Iowa and Canada. Blessed be her memory.
She is survived by her husband, Roy of Baudette; sons, Kevin (Anecita) of Winchester, CA, Todd (Kim) of Warroad, MN and Troy (Missy) of Wahpeton, ND; mother, Ruth Fogelstrom of Baudette; grandchildren, Carol, Carmen (Andrew), Blake, Rylie, Tatton, Landon, and Raymond; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Caytlin, Owen, and Grace; in-laws, Bill, John and Karen, Jean and Joe, and Janet and Dick; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond; sister, Donna; in-laws, William and Dorothy, Mary Ann, Robert and Mary Jane; and nieces and nephews, Eric, Geri, Mark and Lisa.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 1st at 10 Am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baudette. Visitation/wake will be held on Sunday from 6-8 PM AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be at the Elm Park Cemetery.
